Remove the temporary SelfTest code from the project.

The current selftest was useful while the alarm configuration parser and related functionality were being developed, but it should not remain as part of the normal codebase.

Real unit tests should be added later in a separate task, but that is not part of this issue.

Scope:

Remove the SelfTest class/code
Remove any calls to SelfTest
Keep the project compiling
Do not add real unit tests in this issue
